OVERVIEW
WHO WE ARE
Amatum was found in 2016 by Amor Adendorff and JC Hoffman. We function under the auspices of Lewende Word Durbanville.
Our organization is a non-profit organization that seeks to see neighborhoods of Cape Town and beyond, be transformed via discipleship, which will focus on empowering and developing adults and children into becoming self-sufficient in their relationship with God which, in response, will lead to them bearing fruits that will change nations.
We are currently based in Cape Town, South Africa, with the hope of reaching more areas in the future. Currently, the children are served on a weekly basis through compassionate care and programs specifically designed to educate and assist them.
Our programs are founded on Christian principles, we believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ will bring forth long-lasting life changes.
Our first official program was launched in 2015 with the Klipheuwel community in Cape Town. As an organization, we recognize that South Africans have begun understanding that whilst help from Western countries play a beneficial role in changing lives, it is important to personally become part of change within their own communities.
We seek to work alongside local citizens, training and helping them to achieve this goal. We implement the following curriculums: Sidewalk after school program and A Five-fold guide to Raising Children in the Fullness of Christ.

Our mission is to provide as many children as possible and adults with tools that will help them to make good choices and which will assist children to grow into responsible adults by empowering and developing them, one by one.
